My relationship with photography has been the longest I have ever had. 12 years deep and I am just as in love as ever. In fact, I couldn’t imagine my life without a camera, thousands of images bursting from my albums and hard drives. I have always identified with the cheesy romance of photography but I was actually 13 when I was gifted my first digital camera. It was worth just $300 and I, absolutely hooked, learned almost everything about digital photography on that wee thing. I started photographing professionally at 18 years old when one of my first paid jobs was to photograph a middle aged mother facing cancer during her last few months. Not only is photography my passion but a practice in trust and intimacy that I cherish.

Why I do it

All families and couples have a unique version of what love looks like to them. My mission is to tell a visual story of this, an insight into the inside. To embrace the slightly messy, silly shots, because those look like real life too.. life should be goofy like, when you laugh so hard your eyes water, these moments that often FEEL like they are moving too quickly, and sometimes LOOK like they are moving too quickly.

I know any photographer can pose you in front of a backdrop and take flattering images.. but I want to create an experience and give you an heirloom to pass down, a visual story of yourselves simply for your own indulgence. To me, your session should be more than just capturing your gorgeous faces, it should be an authentic reflection of who you truly are. An homage to the familial nature conveyed in the family albums we often grow up with.
